Honestly there are a thousand different things I could start this blog with. I just finally realized I just have to go for it. I am completely in love with training camp. Never before in my life have I been surrounded by a community that is so after God’s own heart. Words cannot accurately describe how fulfilled I feel being here.

The World Race is an evangelism trip, but before we get there we are really focusing on discipleship. We have been getting our hearts ready to serve the nations when we launch out of Georgia in a few weeks. In this life we can do nothing without God so we are learning how to keep our cup full even when things get tough on the Race.

Most of my days consist of hours of great sermons and team builder activities. It has only been a little over three weeks and I have already made friendships that I know will last a lifetime. Getting to know people from all over the country has really opened up my worldview. Also hearing all the stories about how they got on the World Race just confirms to me that God is at work here. I have never felt so prepared to fight for the kingdom of heaven. When I told people about the race they always thought I was making this great sacrifice. Honestly I don’t see it that way. There is no other place I would rather be than right here.

In about two weeks we will be heading over to Louisiana to help an organization called Samaritan’s Purse. We will be working with Samaritan’s Purse to help victims of hurricane Ida. From what I’m told we will be doing a lot of physical labor like picking up fallen trees and helping to fix houses. After all that I will return to Gainesville Georgia for a few days before we finally launch out to Romania.
